• Eliza’s POV
• “Mate is here.” Jasmine kept screaming in my mind, but I couldn't look at them. I hated that they were staring at me. I could feel their eyes on me. Ryder was dancing with me and seemed so happy, and I wished he could have been my mate instead of these four jokers. I mean, come on, moon goddess, what was she thinking?
• “I know. I don't want them as our mates, Jasmine.” I told my Wolf and allowed Ryder to draw me closer to him. Jasmine whimpered, and I knew she felt a pull towards them, but I couldn't let myself run over to them and be ok with the fact that they had treated me so badly and never accepted me as someone with feelings. They and their stupid pack should have stayed in my past.
