Chapter 69 – Shelter

• This pack's chef deserves an award. Of course! I've never eaten steak pickled this well. I would have eaten more if I could have fit in another, but the large one I had on my plate was quite enough. And I could see my friends over here in the dining room, wolfing down their pieces with the same avarice. Though we were famished, the flavor of this delicious lunch was the main attraction.
• I recline and give my stomach a light slap, satisfied. "I promise you Alpha Regan that I will treat him to a similar feast as soon as you arrive in Golden Iris. This steak was delicious. While White Moon and Golden Iris have excellent chefs, but I must say that yours is truly exceptional." I complimented.
• He rips his eyes away from Fiona, who is overtly enticing him. This stunning female is too strong for the Alpha to handle, and it appears that he will lose out on his mate bond this time. "I'm grateful, princess. We also feel proud of her. She gives it her all to make the pack proud, especially when we have guests," he boasts. "However, I will gladly accept an invitation to eat at Golden Iris sometime with your family. Will you also be there, Fiona?" he asks, turning back to face the woman sitting next to him.
