Chapter 67 – Escaped

• Zeila and I are ecstatic and linger around the leisure room to await our escape from this nightmare. We get a glass of liquor and put on a film. It still amazes me that we will be free in an hour. How I yearn for Gabriel, goddess. I sigh, crossing my arms across my chest, "I won't be able to relax until I'm in his arms again." With a sheepish smile.
• My friend's eyes sadden. I'm aware that she's currently thinking of her own mate. "What's the current status between you and Gerald? You met him at Golden Iris, right? Was he more accepting?" I whisper my question. With tears welling up in her eyes, she dejectedly shakes her head.
• "He continues to neglect me and doesn't want me. I marked him after we had sex," she mumbles. I look at her, mouth agape, hardly believing what I'm hearing.
