Chapter 139 – In Red Claw

• "Gabriel, are you using the Council for personal gain and is this some sort of personal grudge?" Red-eyed and filled with wrath, Alpha Derrick approaches me in a nasty manner. His wolf, hardly able to control itself, is on alert.
• I landed at Red Claw with the other members of the Council ten minutes ago to conduct a critical assessment of the well-being of this pack's unmated females. We went over the mates' prior grievances again and let Alpha Derrick know we would be there soon on short notice.
• He is also enraged that he was forced to accept since, according to Lycan law, the Council is always allowed access to the packs in case of emergency. Furthermore, women and children always come first.
