Chapter 44

• Angelina—
• I woke up with Danzel's arms around my waist, holding me tightly against him. A smile crept across my lips as I looked over at him. He looked so peaceful. No one would ever know how much coldness his eyes seem to hide. I peeped over him to see the time. 6.00 am. It was the first time I had seen him sleeping this late. He would usually get up at four.
• I slowly peeled myself from him, making sure to rest his arm on the pillow so he doesn't wake up. As soon as his arm touched the pillow, he pulled it closer to him more. I smile at the scene. I wanted to drink water and for that, I had to go downstairs. I looked down at myself. I was in Danzel's white shirt without my bra but had my panties on. Too lazy to change, I slipped on my slippers and made my way downstairs. The mansion was silent. Everyone's asleep. I didn't waste my time much. I drank water and made my way upstairs again because I didn't want anybody to walk in with me in Danzel's shirt.
