Chapter 51 I Could Swear You Guys Are A Perfect Love Story

  • "I think this is all beyond amazing." I whispered.
  • Pipe couldn't help but laugh. "There's a lot of history and the night is long enough to tell it, Leia," he warned. "When your mother got pregnant, I was just a kid with nothing, I had no money, my studies weren't enough, and I didn't know how to do much to defend myself," he lamented. "My father was a policeman, and I was fascinated by guns all my life. Long before that, I knew how to carry guns, how to arm and disarm them, how to aim and shoot. A bit of an art," he laughed. "I had been looking for work for months, and out of the blue, an old friend down the street called me. Some fool had started the unmentionable job, he was very young, they said he knew a lot for his age, some were afraid of him, some respected him," he said laughing. "But he needed security and someone who had absolute control over the weapons," he recalled. "That was me, and in my desperation to find enough money to give little Juliet a dictated life, I stepped into Darren's life," he assured.
  • Darren was fascinated by Pipe's words, watching him silently with his hands folded on the table, smiling as he listened to every part of the story.
