• Although Sebastian was unwilling, the countdown to the engagement ceremony still carried on. Three days later, the news about the engagement of the Davises and the McBrides became a huge sensation in the city, as the Davises were very influential.
• When Jocelyn got up early in the morning, Joanne was already outside of her door while she swung the gold-plated invitation in front of her. “Jocelyn, you’ll attend my engagement ceremony with Sebastian, right?”
• “Of course. It will be less merry without me there. I’m fated to run into Sebastian, after all!” Jocelyn said in a joking tone before she grabbed the invitation card and threw it into her bag. Oh my! How dare I miss the ceremony?
