• Mandy had always known that Sebastian was a man with a heart of stone, who had no compassion or pity toward other people, but she had never imagined how it would feel if his unfeelingness and cruelty were directed at her. At that moment, Mandy felt like her heart was pierced with daggers. It was almost as painful as being executed by having her flesh shaved away piece by piece.
