- I walked into the restaurant private room and scowled at the surprise group of people sitting at the table.
- I eyed my father, Miles Lanka, questioningly. "What's this, Dad? You said you wanted to meet me for lunch to discuss something. What's with the entourage?"
- Miles glanced at me and gestured toward the seat opposite him. He spoke, "Sit down, son. We are all here to discuss your engagement ceremony with Dera Pete."
