Chapter 7

  • Third POV
  • "And dad is planning to spend about three hundred dollars on her birthday which is tomorrow." Sebastian whined out as he sat on Nessian's bed. He had to come over to his room to gossip about Carla.
  • "They are holding a party for her." Nessian exclaimed out with disgust.
  • "Yes. I overheard mom and dad talking about it and planning the guests they will invite. The way I hate her." Sebastian scoffed. He couldn't believe they were sending her off as an important person. She is a maid, an ordinary maid and will always be one.
  • "Why are they treating her so well just because she is leaving? We will get another maid after she is gone after all." Nessian complained and took his seat beside Sebastian.
  • "I hate her and I love that she's leaving but treating her like she's worth it makes me worry." Sebastian replied to him.
  • "She stayed here for a long time, obviously. Can't believe she's turning eighteen." Nessian said as he recalled when Carla first came into their estate. She was sold by her aunt and she looked dejected. She was so naive then but she adjusted quickly. He and Sebastian had hated her then for her clumsiness and naive nature but she adjusted quickly and that didn't stop them from bullying and harassing her. They always make her remember her place.
  • "Did you realize that Dad has started to work on the construction project already. They brought the money home yesterday." Sebastian said.
  • "So soon. How much is it?" Nessian questioned. He didn't know his dad would start the project he mapped out soon.
  • "Two million dollars." Sebastian replied.
  • "That's more than enough." Nessian replied and laid on the bed.
  • "Yes, Nessian. I got an idea." Sebastian said, tugging him up. He stood up sluggishly and stared at his twin brother who was grinning wickedly.
  • "What is that?" Nessian asked curiously, curious to know what his brother had in mind. He knows his brother to be mischievous and cunning especially when he calls his name.
  • He leaned towards Nessian's ear and talked for some minutes to prevent anyone from hearing them. They know how werewolves possessed sharp ears.
  • "Deal?" Sebastian asked Nessian.
  • "Deal!" Nessian replied. They gave each other a special handshake as it was practiced by ancient hardened sailors in the sea.
  • They sneaked into the Alpha's room as he went for a walk with the Luna. Next thing featured them carrying a bag of money and walking out of their parent's room in a hurry.
  • "Close the door." Sebastian warned Nessian who hurriedly closed the door. They rushed towards Carla's room, opened the door and went inside.
  • "God, this place looks more like a cell." Nessian said and dropped the bag of money on her bed. Carla had gone out on an errand which their parents sent her and their parents weren't around. They are out for a stroll around the vast estate.
  • "I hate the smell of this place. It's unhealthy." Sebastian complained. "Be quick. Let's hide this somewhere and get out of here."
  • They hid it in her room, at a corner occupied by her bags of worn-out clothes which she wouldn't reach out to anytime soon and left the room in a hurry. Not so long, they heard their parents' voices downstairs. They exchanged sinister winks, scurrying to their rooms.
  • Sebastian was sure their parents would be quick to notice the missing money because they were about to kickstart the building project soon.
  • Carla came back not long after and delivered her errands. Sebastian kept looking at her with a smile. She noticed that they didn't acknowledge her presence nor did they bully her or look for her trouble. She found it suspicious but pushed it at the back of her mind as she was filled with other work. She's leaving soon and that soon is tomorrow. She doesn't want to bother herself about their matter.
  • The twins went upstairs to their respective rooms awaiting the drama that will be staged later.
  • "Nessian! Sebastian! Come out!" The Alpha called out with rage. The money he had kept for the project was nowhere to be found. Who took it? There weren't many in this house. Or did he lose it? He was sure he kept it on top of his wardrobe and only his wife and sons knew about the two million dollars.
  • "Dad, is there any issue?" Nessian asked worriedly as he and Sebastian rushed out of their rooms.
  • "Son, the two million dollars for the project I mapped out is nowhere to be found." He complained bitterly.
  • "Dear, you have to calm down. Are you sure you didn't drop it at the office?" The luna said, trying to calm her mate down.
  • "I'm sure of it. It was on top of the wardrobe. The construction of the project will begin soon." The worried look on his face can be seen as it's so obvious but both twins pretend as if they are innocent and don't know what he is saying.
  • "Dad, are you sure you left it at home and you can't find it anywhere?" Sebastian asked.
  • "Yes, son." He replied. The Luna saw how Sebastian took a glance at Nessian suspiciously.
  • "What is it?" She asked.
  • "Well, mom. We saw Carla carrying a huge bag to her room when you both weren't around. We were hiding behind the walls in the hallway and she didn't see us. We then followed from a safe distance and discovered her taking it to her room." Sebastian confessed.
  • "Carla?" The Alpha called out in disbelief.
  • "Are you sure you saw her do that?" Georgia asked.
  • "Yes mom. You can search her room if you doubt my words." Nessian said. "We can go on and search her room." Nessian was about to walk towards her room with Sebastian when their mother stopped them.
  • "I will ask her first". Georgia called out Carla's name. She wished it wasn't true. She saw her as one who won't do such.
  • Carla rushed towards them and was surprised to see the whole family together.
  • "What is happening?"She asked inside of her.
