Chapter 109
- Serena’s POV
- "Oh, okay. Thanks so much." I didn't wait for her to finish up with what she was saying when I screamed my thanks and raced out, taking the direction she was describing. I didn't even take note if other attendants were on the floor, my mind, heart and every focus in me was on Carter, I only had business to do with the receptionist since she was the first person I laid my eyes on as I walked in through the ground floor and I knew she was going to direct me to who I'm finding.
- I ran the fastest race of my life. "Oh my God, I pray he hasn't been ordained yet!" I kept repeating this prayer. I was pretty hopeful that God would answer my prayers as my mind told me he wasn't joining this order because of a divine call but actually because he had to evade getting married to his wicked stepmom. Next to this, I believed it was out of frustration, as my sister whom he really wanted declined his request and then I came up, only for us to part ways without being able to reach out to each other. He wouldn't even bother reaching out to my sister for my number, seeing the way she treated me before him, he knew it would be a total waste of time to ask her for my number.
