Chapter 7
- I looked out and could see that we were driving through a huge iron gate surrounded by massive rocks. Woodland appeared to the left and right, mainly conifers. The path we were travelling on was lit by lanterns and ended in a roundabout. As if by a straight cut, the forest ended and revealed a view of stone foundations. As soon as the car came to a halt, Dragan opened the door and was gone. I jumped out of the car myself, but could only see his back as he disappeared through a massive old wooden gate.
- I circled the SUV and looked up to take in the towering walls in front of me. Culturally I was no snob and had seen a few castles in the UK and other parts of the world. It was always impressive to see the massive stone look with granite stones, one as big as a house, appear in front of you. At first glance, we were looking at a medieval castle designed for defense. If you looked to the sides, you could see that different lords had added different architectural styles to the castle. While a cozy building in the Baroque style - only with less gold - could be seen on the right, a building from the neoclassical period could be seen on the left. A glass dome made of wrought iron, which was famous for the Victorian era, could be seen in the distance. All in all a building that must have seen a lot of history.
- "Impressive, isn't it? I looked like you the first time too, but it was a long time ago."
