Chapter 6
- Unfortunately, when we landed in Romania, we couldn't really see much. It was the middle of the night and everything was shrouded in darkness. Only the lights of the runway markings shine in a bright red colour. I could see the outlines of two large buildings in the distance, but it didn't look like a public airport like Heathrow was. There were several SUVs waiting, including men in suits positioned around the vehicles. Our luggage was loaded and I was put into a vehicle, while Marcus took the others aside.
- After a moment, Dragan joined me in the car, while Kynell and Marcus probably travelled in one of the other vehicles. I did everything I could to calm my nerves and slow down my pulse with old breathing techniques. There was such an uncomfortable silence between us, as if the air was charged. Dragan cleared his throat a little.
- "Kynell isn't actually that hostile. He's always very suspicious, when we welcome new people into the castle. Don't take too much offence at his harsh words."
