Forever united by a child or not, legal suit threats or not, I would have the security drag her ass out without looking her way, the same way she tossed Johnny to me without looking back the entire time.
• “Scarlett, touch a strand on her head and I would make sure you’re too ruined to ever show your face to me again.” I snapped. Adeline’s eyes bulged in surprise. I couldn’t blame her, I have never really lost it with her, she always had the magic, every moment with her was calm and peaceful, soothing even. Just the thought of her in pain was enough to shove aside what moment of weakness had possessed me before.
