• I tried my best to be silent on entering the legacy suite. Two days had passed and Corrie is yet to get back results from the DNA test. Although she suggested the test be done at the hospital but I knew my son too well. His eyes were everywhere and I'm sure he was aware about my intentions to visit. Time was ticking and it would soon be up before he realized my plan. He may hate me for it after this, but Corrie needed to know he didn't marry her for no ordinary reason. She needed to know she was being used and she and her child could be in possible danger.
• "Why the creeping?" Emmette pulled me out of my thoughts. I froze, forgetting I was already in the suite but forgot the habit of not creeping. A faint smug left my lips and I straighten my back with confidence.
