Chapter 54 Failed Warning

• Again, I had failed to warn Grandpa about the danger lurking nearby. I hadn’t told him about Josephine. I felt he was the only person I could confide in, the only one who might understand.
• I’d thought about telling Emily too, but I hesitated. She had her own perspective, and given the past tensions between Josephine and me, I wasn’t sure she’d see things the way I did. The more I considered telling Grandpa, though, the more uncertain I became. He was the one who could believe me — and that meant he’d stop at nothing to make Josephine confess her ties to the Crescent Moon pack, even if it meant her life.
