- The moon hung full and heavy in the sky, casting a silvery glow over the forest clearing. I stood on my balcony, my heart pounding with anticipation. Tonight was supposed to be special—a chance for Ashton and me to connect in our wolf forms. I wasn't expecting anything to happen, but who knows ? Maybe tonight the moon's magic will bring us closer together.
- I glanced at my watch for what felt like the hundredth time. Ashton was late. I shifted from foot to foot, my excitement gradually giving way to a gnawing sense of disappointment. The minutes dragged on, each one feeling like an eternity. I tried to remind myself that Ashton was the Alpha; his responsibilities were immense, and his time was often not his own. Still, a small part of me couldn't help but feel let down.
