Chapter 15 The Pack Presentation

• Even though Ashton had helped me relax a bit, I was still a little on edge and worried as we walked into the building. People started to notice our arrival as he opened the thin metal door, and the music and talk slowly stopped. Now that everyone was looking at us, the huge crowd that was surrounding us broke up, giving us a way to the stage. There were whispers going on all around us. I was glad Ashton still had my hand. I wanted to make a good impact, so I knew I couldn't just put my head down and try to avoid everyone's eyes. The people who were looking at me were trying to figure out if I would be a good Luna. I tried really hard to fight the nervousness that was building up in my chest, so I looked around and smiled at everyone. Although the attention caused my cheeks to warm up, I maintained a cheerful expression. It turned out that the response I was getting was better than I thought. My smile never went away as I tried to look into the eyes of as many people as I could. At that point, everyone would smile back and bow their heads. When Ashton and I finally made it to the stage, he led me up the small steps and to the seats reserved for us.
• "Good day, everyone." I could hear Ashton's rough, deep voice coming from the speakers in the room. His tone wasn't soft or gentle, like I liked it. It was deep, intimidating, and scared me. After he spoke up, the room was quiet, and I saw the looks on everyone's faces as they looked up at their Alpha.
