Chapter 20 Hand It Over

• Strange and ominous, the feeling of being unable to escape such a strange land was. Trickster knew this place too well for someone who had never stepped foot on these lands. He looked the ground up and down, then scanned the rest of the landscape, remembering it thoroughly just in case. Having taken the book from Davian, the tricky man placed it inside his pouch, and off he went to prep for their inevitable adventure.
• "Hey, guys, wait up!" He said, moving over to the inside of the building. Placing his hands on his thing, Trickster managed to pack it and ready himself just like the others. There it was once more, Turstin keeping to himself and utterly blocking Roselia from his feelings. Trickster saw it and simply cringed, biting down on his lip. Roselia simply stood gazing at Turstin, and Turstin could only continue to think of one thing. His destiny, his future, anything that revolved around just him. It was clear that Turstin had no intentions of adding Roselia into his future. Trickster knew it, and he wondered if Roselia understood this or not. Shaking his head, he let it pass him as he finished packing. Turstin, Davian, and Alexa finished packing and went outside the building. Trickster remained within the building gazing back at Roselia, who simply held her hands on her lap as she sat staring down into the empty darkness. He moved to her side and placed his hand on her shoulder, looking down at her in concern.
