Chapter 2 Zero: Mandatory Mission

  • Her bust rubbed against his muscular frame; soon, the two were in a fierce blush between one another. Swiftly the female rubbed herself off him. His fingers maneuvered to her green locks and pushed them away from her tainted cheeks. Turstin then caressed those rosy Cherubic cheeks, both staring into each other's eyes.
  • "What? I can't share this moment with you, even though we cannot be together?"
  • "You know I love you, right? I still cannot believe you cannot be with me..." Turstin said, releasing her cheek from his touch.
  • Roselia's gaze moved down the marble hospital floor. Sniffling, she turned so that he could not see her tears. A hand moved to her eyes, and before Turstin could say anything, a cloaked man entered through the door. Both Roselia and Turstin looked this man down and over, not perceivable a single hint of his identity. A mysterious being covered in a pitch atramentous cloak that even had a hood that kept his face obscured now stood before them. Only his lips were visible to the eyes of these soldiers.
  • Roselia moved her hands to her belt, reaching for her thorned whip, and stood before Turstin.
  • "Take another step forward, and I'll shred you!" Roselia warned.
  • "Who the hell are you, and what do you want?! You better tell us that Roselia isn't one to play nice when it comes to mysterious people like yourself!" Turstin added.
  • The man didn't budge but dropped an enormous folder with the words that wanted to be written. In seconds, the cloaked figure turned around and spoke to the duo with a deep voice.
  • "I hope you can get this bounty done three dawns from now. Do make sure... you complete the mission. I want no failures. In fact, there won't be any failures considering if you fail, the world that you know , and love will be devoured. Do it correctly. There are no second chances. Good luck, Turstin."
  • "Wh-what does that even mean?"
  • "Huh? Devoured? Turstin, what is he talking about?"
  • The figure exited the cubicle, disappearing with those words mystifying the duo within the hospital room. Roselia gulped, gawking down at the mystery man's folder had previously dropped. Placing her thorned whip back onto her hip, she scrutinized that folder as though to unwind its pages and read its contents, but something held her back. Turstin examined the folder, an eerie feeling running down his spine, waking the goosebumps on his arms. Off he went from the bed and over to the folder. Kneeling, he reached for the folder with his bandaged up, chained, and sealed arm. Grasping it in hand, he erected looking over at Roselia.
  • "Did you know who that was? I honestly don't know who he was nor what he spoke about. I couldn't even sense his aura. Could you sense it?" He asked Roselia, who shook her head.
  • Her full attention remained firmly on the folder. Turstin placed his hand at the edge of the folder, and just as he was about to open it, Roselia stormed off towards the exit.
  • "Wait, Turstin. Let me shut the door. This could be something of great importance… I can't have anyone knowing about this."
  • "Yeah, you're right."
  • Before the two would open it, Roselia walked over to the door shutting it. Turstin opened the folder, peeking inside. He felt and heard his heart beating against him with eyes widened and jaw-dropping. Immediately, he dropped the folder before his feet .
  • "What is it, Turstin? What's inside it?" Roselia asked.
  • Turstin shifted his eyes to the windows walking over, gazing down at the peaceful people who walked about with love and life in their day and sway. They all seemed so calm. After the devastating attack by the black dragon, not a single soul seemed to be oozing with worry. The heroes of Goldenwatch remained alive and well, watching over them as they were trained to do.
  • "Damn it!" Turstin growled.
  • He stood there reminiscing all the pain his arm inflicted onto him to even the warlocks of Willow Grave sealing it.
  • "Turstin?" Roselia whispered with concern,
  • "Fine, I'll just read it myself."
  • He shook his head, understanding now what he needed to do. He turned to Roselia, who had previously read the folder, and watched as her hands met over her mouth after her jaw dropped open. He chuckled, walking past her. Before he exited the hospital room, he breathed in and spoke softly.
  • "This can't be true, right, Turstin? It just can't be…." Roselia pleaded.
  • She merely could not move. Her hand shook, and her eyes remained glued to the ground. Turstin only glanced back with a simple response.
  • "This is for the good of the people. Let's get going. We have a mission to accomplish."
