Chapter 27 Funeral

• Before the burial, Ederic's mom's body was washed. After cleansing, the body is dressed. The body was placed in a casket where it was displayed on a covered stand known as a catafalque. The person's hands are crossed on top of the chest.
• The funeral service is to be held in a church, the priest or minister enters first. The casket was carried by pallbearers and the family members follow.
• Everyone there for the funeral was wearing a black suit to indicate their condolences to the family members. Prayers are read and hymns are sung.
