• Two days ago, our scouts had returned to us with a written report telling us that the two carriages had passed the bridge and met up with the Goldflower clan. They had also mentioned that Howley was pulling a female in a stretcher. When I read this report my jaw dropped, glancing up to my uncle, I did not say a word. In my head I was picturing this scene unfolding, that was filled with screams and dread. How could one of the Longarm females have hurt themselves?
• “I hate to do this to you boy, but I have to change the plans. I need to speak with Alpha Crajor.” Uncle Myres said with a yawn.
