Chapter 59 Threat (Two)

• “It’s very nice to meet you, ma’am. I’m so sorry for your loss.” Angela said immediately, offering her hand to the older woman to shake, but Anna looked at her with derision and ignored the offered hand, turning her attention back to Ryan. Angela dropped her hand slowly. So this was what Ryan meant when he had said drama.
• “What are you doing here? You’re not welcome here. I thought I told you that.” Anna said to Ryan.
• “Craig was my bosom friend, as well as my brother-in-law. His death hurt me as much as it hurt you, and I’m only here to pay him my last respects.” Ryan told the woman, hating that things had come to this between them. He remembered that back in college, he used to eat at her house a lot, and he had been cool with most of Craig’s numerous siblings. All that was until after the accident, that is.
