• It's been four days of training for the Luna queen selection and two days since I last saw Rhysand. It was like he was avoiding me after he tried convincing me again to back out of the selection and I refused still. Though I understood he was concerned about my safety, I couldn't bring myself to do as he wished.
• "She dare dream of being the Luna queen. Look at her, a human, weak but trying to prove otherwise. She isn't worthy, she shouldn't be here. I wonder why the council men even allow such atrocity," Lilliana's voice echoed inside the training chamber. There were twelve of us competing for the Luna queen position. Each of us here had a ranking. So far, Lilliana Cyrelas was at number one and she had the most potential of becoming Luna queen. To top it off, her father was the head of the werewolf council men. So everyone was rooting for her. I on the other hand was at rock bottom. I've repeatedly failed most of the test, if not all. And every single time Liliana Cyrelas was there to remind me of how weak and unworthy I was.
