• Leaving Lani with Raelys left me quite at ease, knowing that no one would dared to attack her while she was with my sister. Still I knew that was only a temporary solution. The council had already began making their moves, so they'd certainly look for any means to put their threat into motion and I had to come up with a solution quick.
• "Alpha, we need to go to the border immediately, we can't delay it any longer," Knox called out through mindlink and I heaved a deep sigh, looking at the note in my hand one last time. I shoved it into my pocket again before heading toward the palace exit.
