Rhysand stood at the doorway for a split second before rushing toward me. I was too stunned to even react because Cardan had suddenly vanished like he'd never being there but I could still feel his lingering touch on my lips.
Relieve and guilt immediately trapped me, once Rhysand settled down beside me. There was concern and affection in his eyes. He must've been so worried about me, yet I'd let his brother touch me intimately and I couldn't even bring myself to tell him Cardan had been in the room. Why?
"Are you okay? do you feel any pain?" Rhysand's words came softly as he strutinized me.
