Chapter 5 The Ointment

  • EIRA’S POV
  • “What the?” I glared at Finn who was now scratching the point of his nose. “Tell your King Ice that I will never serve him!”
  • “Fine. If you want a slash again.” He shrugged his shoulder. This bastard giving me no choice!
  • “Okay, okay! I’ll be there in five minutes!” I placed the clothes that I had watched on the long wooden chair. Maybe it would be easy for me if I would assign to him. Fira was assigned to King Fire and she seemed nothing to do, except wait for his command. I could have much time for Rayk if that was the case.
  • I followed Fiin in the hallway. On my way there, I viewed Saza as approaching. She stopped in front of us and gazed at me. “I guess… she has a punishment again. Stubborn low-rank bitch.”
  • I smiled at her so wide, that the sarcasm was in my face. I imitated the way she crossed her arms under the chest. “Well… your guess is wrong.” I chinned up and showed her beautiful tantalizing eyes. “I’ll be away from your command, stubborn low-rank bitch because… King Ice get me as his personal omega.” I winked at her, covered my mouth, and chuckled. I raised my hand and gestured at her with goodbye in my fingers. I swayed my hips while I was following Finn.
  • “Try to hurt my sister again, bitch. You’ll be fucked up. I swear to death.” I whispered as the giggling was in my jaw. She called me a low-rank bitch when in fact, she was also low rank. She forgot who she really is just having a little power. I looked back at her and shouted.
  • “I’ll remind you… You’re an omega! You were born in the dust and you’ll be in there forever! Kneeling down to the royals just like us!”
  • But we had differences. I could be a Beta if I wanted. Even if she was the Omega’s Leader, her rank would not go up because that was the title that was carved into her name, in her family’s name.
  • “Know what?” Finn faced me. He shook his head. “You're a war freak.”
  • “What did you say?”
  • Finn turned his back on me and walked again. “Don’t slap or kick my king again. I’ll never pass you this time.”
  • “You poor big idiot. You served a monster.” It was supposed to be a whisper, but because I was mad, it sounded loud to be heard by him.
  • He gazed back at me, expressionless. “When did you get that courage to talk like that?” I saw the holding of temper in the depths of his eyes.
  • “I just learned it… from my experience.” I tapped his shoulder and pushed him a little. We reached King Ice’s door. “We’re here, Monster!”
  • “Hey! I told you!” Finn pointed his forefinger at me. This man was kind, huh. He was not like the other guards that would kick the person immediately when they disrespected their serving kings.
  • I rolled my eyes at him. The door opened. Colden gave me a small smile. “Hey.”
  • “You need my presence now? If not, I’ll go.” I managed to stand straight when his eyes landed on my face. That eyes, those were the… stare of a monster. I looked down. It had been a long time, but I could still feel the shiver in me, the fear, even if I acted like I was the most strong and powerful woman. My chest was suffocated as the flashes of images came into my memories. I shook to eliminate it.
  • “Come in.” Colden smiled at me. He had always worn his mask. One of these days, his true color would show again and I should be prepared.
  • When he shut the door, my knee trembled. I chinned up while gasping for air, providing myself with courage. “Why the hell did you assign me to you?”
  • Good job, Eira. There was no stutter in your speaking.
  • Revolutionary Organization taught me well.
  • “I want to help you.” He sat on the bed, getting his cup of tea. There were two cups, he was giving me the other one.
  • “No, thanks. You can’t poison me today.” I gazed at my side, clearing my throat. My heart was pumping so nervous.
  • “I don’t know… what makes you so mad towards me.” My eyes widened when he approached me. I prepared my kick if he touches me. Good thing, he stopped a little far. “Enlighten me, please?”
  • I moved down and held my skirt tightly. That night would never be forgotten. I was here to take my revenge. Royals were good at playing and I would ride that play.
  • “Nothing.”
  • “Then, why your eyes are blazing?” His tone was gentle. He raised his palm, gesturing a promise. “I, Colden Aiker, Alpha King Of Ice, will not hurt you, Eira Hayes.”
  • I stared at his face. There was no sign of badass. My chest was in fear and in pain. How can he do that? Is acting his professional skill?
  • “I want to help you that’s why I assigned you to me.” He showed me his palm. “Give me your hands.”
  • “Why would the heck I will give it to you?” My expression was like a lion who would bite its prey any moment, but deep inside I was like a rat hiding in a cave, hiding the frighten.
  • I would never expect that he would grab my hands. My whole body trembled. In an instant, I ran towards the corner of his room, hugged my knee, and buried my face, preventing not to cry.
  • “Eira…” He down his knee on the floor. I could feel his presence in front of me.
  • “Get away from me!”
  • I heard a sigh. “Did you suffer that much? I’m so sorry.” The hush filled the environment until he talked again. “Fine, I won’t touch you unless you give me permission to.”
  • Suddenly, I heard the footsteps, going away from me and the slam of the door. I peeked with one eye. He went gone, but he left a bottle of ointment. When the door opened again, I hid my face again into my thighs.
  • “King Ice left the ointment. He said put that on your swollen hands and back.” I heard Finn’s voice. “You can rest as long as you want. He’ll just summon you when he needs you.”
  • I moved my head up, glared at him, and ground my teeth. “I don’t need his ointment. No matter what he does, he can’t mask his real identity!”
  • Finn down his knee on the floor. “So you know?”
  • I know, what?
