Chapter 1 The Fight Against The Omega’S Leader

  • EIRA’S POV
  • Run! He is approaching! The monster is coming!
  • I never knew where was the end of these long dim scary woods. The shiver was in my spine, causing my body to tremble. I cried with my heart out while looking at my back. He was chasing me. His eyes were blue, releasing smoke from his freezing emotions.
  • From the moment I was born. I never saw blue in the dark. That color was always been my favorite, but now… that could be compared to red and black. Red symbolizes blood and black represents the ruthless and inhuman activities of the royals. I looked up at them, praising them, smiling at them, and wanting to be like them… but in a snap of hands, my idolization turned into hatred.
  • When he caught me, he pushed me to the forest floor, resulting in me lying down. He positioned his body on top of me, in the middle of my thighs. He pinned my hands above my head and…
  • “Ahh!”
  • In the midst of the dark night. Those images popped again in my head, haunting me everywhere I go, suffocating my breathing, streaming my eyes with tears, and pushing me to kill myself. I hugged my knees and buried my face in my thighs as my sob echoed in the room. I put both hands on my chest and massaged as if It would lessen the sorrow and agony. I punched my head over and over again, getting away from the horrible experience.
  • “Leave me! I don’t wanna remember you!” I hit my head again. The tears were streaming down my face. “You, Monster! Monster!”
  • “Eira…” Rayk moved as fast as he could. He embraced his arms on my body. I hugged him so tight as I buried my face in his neck. He whispered. “Shh… it was just a dream.”
  • I pushed myself harder to tell him the truth, gathering all my courage and strengths, at the end, my mouth was closed. I chose to not say it. I was afraid that his look towards me would change.
  • “Whatever you’re dreaming. It can’t hurt you.” Rayk kissed my cheek. “I will be your shield. They’ll walk into my cold body first before they harm you.”
  • I gasped for air, calming my system, kicking away my misery, and putting happy memories in my head to convert my emotions. I saw my mother, with her sparkling smile, brushing my hair while singing a song. It felt like I could hear it now, soothing my heart. Suddenly, it just caused darkness in my expression when I remember that I would not see her again because… she was dead.
  • Rayk tapped my back for so long while I was sobbing, my lips and hands were shaking. I managed to release the suffering, calming myself, and relaxing my mind. After a few seconds of inhaling and exhaling, I finally got better.
  • “It’s already three in the morning. I don’t wanna leave you, but I need.” Rayk cupped my cheek and kissed my lips. “Don’t forget to show me your smile later… when I see you again.” He moved up while sighing and then placed a peck on my forehead. “Remember…” He grasped my hand and put it to his chest. “You’re in my heart.”
  • “Me either.” I hugged him tightly for the second time before freeing him. I watched him fix his clothes. He gave me a small smile and one more kiss on the lips before he jumped out the window. I looked down at him, he was smiling, waving his hands at me and flying a kiss.
  • My boyfriend was always been sweet and lovable. He went to me every night if he got a chance. He is Rayk Aralar, from the House of Aralar, the third born child, not an ordinary wolf, therefore our relationship was a secret from anybody. His family would not want their children to take part in the omegas like me.
  • He should not know my past. He will abandon me.
  • *****
  • At midday, I was in the laundry room, cleaning all the clothes from the guards. This was my work for the Elemental Kingdom. The low-born had no right to take rest unless it was Freedom Day. I was not the same as the other omegas, who could easily get tired. I was doing this since I was a child, so washing the clothes for the whole day would not exhaust me.
  • I went to the yard to hang the big clothes when Saza called me. Saza was the leader of the omegas, so she was abusing her power.
  • “Hey, omega! Didn’t you hear me?” She stood right in front of me, crossed her arms, and raised one eyebrow. I held my skirt tightly. This woman was bullying my sister, making her difficult to live with her daily, that was why every time I looked at her, I could not hide the flames in my eyes.
  • “Are you mad, huh!” She slapped my right cheek. The stinging sensation could be felt from it. Then, she created a smirk. “Seems like you’re tough than your sister, huh?”
  • “Get away from my sister or you’ll taste my revenge.” I turned my back on her. However, I was not yet going far, she yanked my hair, pulling it harder as if she would going to take off my hair from my scalp. I gritted my teeth, enduring the pain and controlling my anger. She slammed me on the muddly surface soil which had a poop of the carabaos. She laughed so hard when she saw my features, unable to recognize my face due to the brown watered soil scattering around me plus the smell was unbearable. I vomited while holding my stomach.
  • She slapped my cheek one more time. “If you just follow me, you’ll not be in there… down… like your rank.”
  • I gritted my teeth and glared at her with the fire in my eyes. “You’re omega, too… and your attitude is trash. You’re lower than me because of your wasteful habit.” I stood up straight disregarding my dirty features and the stinky smell. “Your position does not suit you. You’re fit in the ground.” She was shocked when I slapped her face over and over again. I was giggling when she dropped on the soil. I rode her upper body while she was laying and punched her face.
  • I could still remember the burn in Fira’s hand. My sister did not tell me what did this woman do to her, but according to Cass, Saza put her hands on the boiling oil. I punched her nose, it bled too much. I yanked her hair and put her face on the watered soil with the waste of the carabaos.
  • “What the hell is going on in her!”
  • My hand getting ready to punch this woman automatically got down. My world stopped moving when I saw Higher King Oswald.
  • No way. Why him?
  • “Higher… King…” Saza had difficulty talking. She pointed at me. “This omega hit me.”
  • Higher King Oswald marched toward me and hit my face with his palm. The waves of pain caused by him were unbearable “How dare you beat the Omega’s Leader!”
  • I looked down at my head. If I talked, the punishment would be severe, therefore I kept my mouth silent, even though I wanted to fight.
  • “Guards, bring this omega to the Court Room! Give her one hundred fifty slashes!”
