Chapter 3 The Unknown Mad Woman

• COLDEN’S POV
• My principle is unusual from my alpha king brothers. They can easily hit the enemies harder, make them bleed, and plead without hesitation in their decisions. I only believe in the harmony of peace.
• I am the Alpha King Of Ice named Colden, the third born alpha. Not all kings are brave enough to face the war. I can’t use the sword. I can’t lose the bow’s arrow. I can’t punch and kick. I can’t fight. I rather promote a peace agreement than battling the opponent and watching millions of people die.
• Can I call myself a king if I can’t protect my wolves?
• However, this gentle alpha with a pure heart is also the man who murdered hundreds of women. My monster will not stop even if you told him to stop. He is deaf and blind. He won’t halt. No one can control him… He will get everything you have until you left nothing. Until you are worthless, wasted and one day, you choose to kill yourself because you can’t handle the pain anymore.
• Can I still be a King Ice that everybody looks up to when my hands are full of blood when I don’t know where it came from?

• When the Elemental Kingdom book says, “The Alpha King should forever be strong and independent. He is prohibited to depend on others. He must not feel fear.”

• I hid in the tree when Higher King Oswald commanded us to have training with my brothers. I peeked at my Alpha King brothers, they were beating each other. No one wanted to be a loser, therefore they fought as long as they could. My knee trembled when Pyro saw me hiding.
• "Don't hurt me, Pyro. I don't want to fight."
• He closed his eyes hard and pointed the arnis at me. "Face them. Father will see you."
• "But I’m scared." I bit my lips to cover my shaking lips. I prevented my hands to quake when I grip my arnis tightly.
• "If you didn't come out. I will hit you with my arnis." After his words, he ran towards Raiden and hit him with his arnis in a slant direction.
• I hate the training. I loathe hurting people, especially my beloved brothers.
• “Ouch!” I massaged my shoulder when Hali hit me with his exclusive arnis with the engrave of Alpha King Of Water. Among all my brothers, he was the one who loved at beating me. As usual, I never fought back, even though sometimes he had a triggering action. I knew he was doing that to reveal my fighting skills or my strategies in the battle.
• I winced when Hali started to attack me again. I backed away as I raised my arnis, blocking him. The color in my face faded when he struck my chest. The waves of pain ran all over my system. When Pyro saw him, he saved me from Hali. They ended up battling each other.
• I let out a sigh of frustration when my eyes accidentally fell on my father. He was shaking his head in disbelief. Perhaps he would summon me again in his chamber after the training to give me a book of different strategies on how to be a great warrior. After a few hours of training, my guess was right. However, I did not take long at his chamber due to his meeting with the royals.
• I was walking in the hallways alone when suddenly Zephyrus leaned his arm on my right shoulder and whispered. “Wanna hang out with a pussies tonight?”
• I covered my mouth when I chuckled. “You mean escaping from the kingdom? It’s not yet Freedom Day.”
• Freedom Day was the day when everyone can do whatever they want such as go into the Human World and party.
• “I mean climbing at the window from the thirty-eight floor down to the ground and run, so the guards will not see us and if they see us we will threaten them.” Zephyrus continuously said those words without pausing or taking breaks. He is the only king I knew who can talk for hours without stopping.
• “And if father finds out?” The curves in my lips formed.
• “Then, we’ll have… a whip. Not that strong, no worries.”
• He did everything to convince me while we were walking towards King Fire’s chamber, the Alpha King Of Fire.
• My feet were stuck to where I was standing when a woman passed by. I was in shock when she slapped me so hard without any reason or sign.
• What the? Is she crazy?
• Zephyrus had a jaw dropped while pointing to the woman and then gazing back at me. I had literally no idea why the heck she slapped my face. When I settled my gaze on her, I felt pity in my heart. The tears were condensing in the corner of her eyes.
• “Because of you, he left me! Are you now happy about what you did to me!” She tiptoed while her shoulder was up and her fists were closed as if she was challenging me in combat. “Huh! I don’t care if you are one of the alphas!” The tears rolled in her eyes while her lips were shaking. The pain in her heart reflected in me, resulting in my chest being suffocated.
• She stopped talking, sobbed for a moment, and then continued. “You can't bring back what you took from me.” Then, she turned his back on us.
• Did I do a stupid thing last night? Who is she?
• “Brother did you一” I did not listen to Zephyrus’ blabby mouth.
• No hesitation, I followed the woman. I could feel the guilt in my heart. My head was messed up, trying to remember what I did to that beautiful young woman. I found nothing in my memories no matter how I tried.
• I stopped and looked around, but just like how she appeared in front of me, she was fast disappeared, too. I slowly placed my palm on my cheek. The stinging sensation from her slap remained there. I think she knew how to fight. An ordinary woman’s slap was not like this.
• Remember it, Colden. What happened? Geez. My head was blank.
• I hate hurting people, but I hate myself most.
• What did you do, Ice Monster? Is she another woman who I took advantage of?
