• I followed each of the instructions Salvatore had left me in the envelope to the letter. The first one, although my old mansion and my company still belonged to me, was clear: I couldn’t return there. With my new identity, Roxanne was a thing of the past, and I had become Leonella Fiorenci. My hair was now short, the color completely different, my eyebrows thicker, I wore glasses, and, well, a lot of other things that made me look nothing like before.
• I settled into a small apartment on the outskirts of the city, and all the money I was to inherit from my estate was deposited into an account in my name. So, for a good while, I wouldn’t have to worry about money.
