- Deafening thunder woke me up in the early hours of the morning, startling me. I moved my sleeping arm abruptly, and Roxanne's head fell beside me. She stirred slightly, grunting at the abrupt movement.
- I sat up, still shaken by nightmares, and looked at the clock: it was close to six in the morning, it was time to get up. That day marked the three-day deadline that Antonella had given me to meet, and I knew that, as always, she would bring some of her damn maneuvers to make me feel afraid, especially after having blocked her main entrances in the north.
