Chapter 15 A Kidnapping

  • "I already said that I won't do this with you. Regardless if it's sparring or in other competitions." Sebastian could no longer hold in his frustration upon Dominic's pestering.
  • He had yet to notice the Evanses as his attention was on Dominic. This guy normally seems stern, stoic and has the looks of the vice captain of the garrison. So, why is he acting like a child in front of me?
  • "Sebastian, my boss, please, I beg of you. Spar with me!" Dominic wanted more and more to get taught a lesson by this man in front of him.
  • In actuality, he had always had a bad impression of Sebastian.
  • Since he was already an expert in this field, he questioned what Sebastian was capable of as to become his superior the moment he returned from abroad. Is it because he came back from another country? Is it because he was a mercenary? Since Dominic had dealt with a few illegal mercenaries when he was in the Divine Dragon, he thought that they were not a big deal.
  • Yet for some reason, the more Sebastian refused to fight him and remained unprovoked, the more Dominic came to respect him.
  • Even though he never referred to anyone as his 'boss' in his life, he had called Sebastian that more than ten times throughout this morning.
  • "You are such a pain in the *ss. I order you to the garrison and deal with any unfinished business there," Sebastian said.
  • "It's a Sunday. We don't have to work." Dominic smiled widely.
  • "Whatever." Sebastian sighed.
  • Approaching the villa entrance, he opened the gate of the villa to the sight of a gaped jaw Alexis, Mandy, Sandy and Rickon.
  • "Why are you guys here?" Sebastian was surprised.
  • "Stuart, you live here?" Sandy frowned tightly and looked at him with unbelievable eyes.
  • "Yup," Sebastian replied.
  • "No way. You're the owner of Montes Group? You're Sebastian Baker?" Mandy's mouth was wide-open.
  • "You guys found out?" asked Sebastian.
  • His words made Sandy and Mandy's heart beat faster as they never thought that Stuart, who their family had been looking down on, was actually Sebastian!
  • "You sure are shameless," Jeremy sneered.
  • "Why?" Sebastian was confused.
  • Lighting a cigarette, Jeremy observed what he was wearing with belittlement. A t-shirt with jeans washed so many times that the color has faded to white.
  • What kind of beggar even dresses like he does?
  • If this trash is Sebastian, then I could be Sebastian's father.
  • "He's only a security guard for Sebastian's villa. Mandy and Sandy are naive enough to mistake you for him, but I can't believe you dared to admit you're him?" Jeremy pointed at Sebastian with the cigarette in his mouth.
  • "Are you saying that I'm a liar?" Sebastian frowned.
  • "Nonsense. If you are Sebastian, I'll eat every tuft of grass on this mountain," Jeremy rebuked.
  • After hearing Jeremy's words, the three sisters snapped back to reality. Looks like Jeremy was right. He's just a security guard under Sebastian.
  • It's too bad that he looks a bit anemic. I don't think he even qualifies as a security guard. Maybe he's just a part-time cleaner hired by Mr. Baker?
  • Scanning his figure, Alexis looked at Sebastian with disgust while Sandy could not help but shake her head too.
  • Never once have I looked down upon Stuart's status, so how could he lie to us and say that he's Sebastian?
  • "Stuart Baker, you shameless jerk!" Mandy, who became frustrated, slapped Sebastian in the face.
  • Slap! The sudden strike stunned both Sebastian and Dominic.
  • Instantly, Alexis and Sandy looked at their sister in shock. "Why did you hit Stuart?" questioned Sandy.
  • "Because he's shameless!" With a reddened face, Mandy exclaimed angrily.
  • "Do you know how much I like Sebastian? I had never fancied someone like this before. In my heart, Sebastian is the shining star of my life. Who is he to impersonate the man of my dreams?! Remember this, Stuart. If you dare to impersonate Sebastian again from this day onward, I will hit you every time I see you!"
  • Mandy ran down the mountain with reddened cheeks after that.
  • "What just happened?" Sebastian remained stunned.
  • "She has a crush on the owner of Montes Group and wants to get married to Sebastian. I'm sorry, Stuart. Let me apologize on behalf of Mandy," Sandy said.
  • Since Mandy was more of a cutesy and petite woman, her strike did not hurt at all as it only surprised Sebastian.
  • "You shameless jerk. You even dare to impersonate Sebastian. Be careful. If he knows about this, he might just beat you to death. Hmph. It's Sandy's birthday today. Do be wary when you come and with the kind of present you bring us, yeah?" Jeremy smirked.
  • "You really do overestimate yourself. Let's go." Alexis shot a cold gaze at Sebastian.
  • "Stuart, how about you come to my house later? Since you're not a stranger, you can stay until the party. I have a lot of things to talk about with you," Sandy said.
  • Truth be told, she was somewhat disappointed at Sebastian's actions.
  • For a decade long of waiting, she had never once looked down upon Sebastian. To her dismay, she did not think that Sebastian would grow to be so prideful and became so mindlessly ahead of himself.
  • With such a bad habit, she wanted to have a sit-down with Sebastian to talk about this.
  • "I'll go over tonight." Sebastian was not in a good mood.
  • "Okay. You must come over tonight, then." Sandy nodded.
  • After the trio left, Dominic looked at Sebastian, who was standing beside him, and felt very wronged for him. Although he had a little spat with Sebastian earlier, he did not stoop to his level, which made him even more likable as a person. He is brothers-in-arms material.
  • "Boss, why did you not clear up the misunderstanding earlier?" asked Dominic.
  • "Rumors can be fabricated, but the truth we see with our eyes remains as the truth. Since they already assume the cold hard fact that I'm the same failure of a man from ten years ago, what does it matter to what I say? Instead, I should just show them through my actions. Then, they'll see me in a different light," Sebastian calmly stated.
  • "I'll go with you to tonight's birthday party! I'll arrange the twenty million gift in perfection!" Dominic clenched his teeth.
  • "Okay." Sebastian nodded.
  • Sandy's birthday party, which was scheduled to happen at 8.00PM tonight, would have a lot of friends and family members in attendance. During the day, Sebastian was at home, quietly planning out the training plan for his subordinates tomorrow.
  • At night, Sebastian did not head down in a hurry as his house was just a ten-minute walk away from the Evanses. As such, he left the house at 7.30PM.
  • "Boss, those relatives of your fiancé are quite materialistic," Dominic told Sebastian while they were walking down the hill.
  • "They are fine," Sebastian replied.
  • "Since our figures are almost the same, do you want to change into a suit? I have a couple at home. They are all quite expensive." Dominic glanced at what Sebastian was wearing.
  • "No need." Sebastian rejected his notion.
  • As the two were heading down, a minivan and a couple of cars suddenly drove in their direction. "Come with us!" a person shouted at Sebastian before they dragged the two men into their minivan.
  • Upon entering the unknown vehicle, machetes were quickly aimed at their necks with a fierce and bald man sneering at Sebastian.
  • "You son of a b*tch. Looks like we met again!"
