• As I raced back home, my heart pounded with a mixture of fear and determination, every second feeling like an eternity as I feared for the safety of my son and the rest of my family. Pulling up to the house, I could see the faint glimmer of hope in Emily's tear-filled eyes as she clung to me, her tiny frame trembling with fear.
