Chapter 10

  • I sat down, eagerly waiting for him to come back so we could finally go on our long-awaited date. But as the minutes ticked by, doubt started to creep in. It was already 11 pm, and Mr. Anderson was nowhere to be seen. Frustration and disappointment washed over me, and I couldn't help but berate myself. "Chloe, are you stupid?" I muttered to myself. "What made you think that your boss would have anything to do with you?"Feeling a mix of emotions, I decided to change my plans. I slipped into my bikini, grabbed a bottle of wine, and made my way to the poolside. The cool night air and the soothing sound of water provided a much-needed escape. Sipping on my wine, I tried to let go of my disappointment and enjoy the moment. As I stood there, sipping my wine and lost in my thoughts, I suddenly heard a familiar voice. "Chloe, why do we have the same taste?" Mr. Anderson's words echoed through the air, catching me off guard. I turned around in surprise, and there he was, standing before me. My eyes widened as his gaze scanned my body, and I couldn't help but take a small step back, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. At that moment, my heart raced with anticipation. I couldn't believe he was here, right in front of me, acknowledging our shared taste. It was like something out of a dream. But then, my foot slipped on the wet poolside, and I found myself falling into the water with a splash. The cool water enveloped me, and for a moment, time stood still. Mr. Anderson sprang into action. Without hesitation, he reached out and caught me, his strong arms wrapping around me. I could feel his heartbeat against my chest as he lifted me effortlessly out of the water.
  • "Are you okay, Chloe?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine concern. I couldn't help but blush, feeling a mix of embarrassment and gratitude. I managed to muster up the courage to say, "Can you put me down?" And just like that, he gently released his hold on me, and I landed back on the ground, a little flustered but also relieved. I looked up at Mr. Anderson, feeling a mix of embarrassment and pain in my back. He looked at me with a mix of concern and anger in his eyes.
  • "You don't know how to swim, and you were getting so close to the water?" he exclaimed, his voice filled with frustration. I tried to stand up, but the pain in my back was too much. He quickly noticed my struggle and came to my aid once again.
