• As I slowly regained consciousness, the dull ache in my head intensified, and I became aware of my surroundings. My vision blurred at first, but as clarity seeped in, I realized I was in a dimly lit room, the air heavy with tension. Panic surged within me as I tried to move, only to discover that my legs and hands were tightly bound.
• Before I could fully comprehend my situation, Alex loomed over me, his presence menacing as he grabbed hold of my face with a force that made my breath catch in my throat. His voice, cold and accusatory, pierced through the silence. "You're pregnant with Anderson's baby?" he demanded, his words hitting me like a physical blow.
