• As the tension thickened, Alex's query cut through the air, "What is going on here?" His sharp gaze landed on one of his henchmen, suspicion etched across his face. "I untied myself," I declared defiantly, meeting Alex's penetrating stare head-on.
• Undeterred, I pressed on, my words laden with anger, "Don't you know that Lily needs medical attention? She's pregnant, carrying your baby." Alex's indifference remained unshaken, his cold response echoing through the room, "And who told you I care?"
• In a blaze of fury, I branded him a monster, spitting in defiance. In response, Alex seized me, forcefully leading me upstairs. My back collided with the unyielding wall, pain pulsating through my body. He advanced, silencing me by covering my mouth, issuing a chilling warning, "Know how you talk to me. If you want to stay alive, you're paying for your mother's sins."
