• Word was spreading fast that the Novells were back in our kingdom. It didn't take long for everyone to notice the evidence of their destruction. With lower beings moving in on the outskirts of the Capital wall, they found a place to hide out if things got dangerous. With that, they also told stories of their encounters with the Novells. I am sure that many of those stories had been elaborated on. One thing was obvious, this shift brought a bunch of new recruits for the army. We started taking anyone over fourteen, guys and girls alike. They might not see real action until they hit twenty, but there was no harm in teaching them the basics early on.
