- As the quarter seasons shifted, the resting periods grew increasingly humid. The crimson sky is beating down on the surface with no forgiveness. I was thankful for the canopy above, giving us reprieve from the burning rays. My father, with the solar years of experience, had begun to spend less time forcing the Equus caballus to labour under the overpowering climate. Each time we ventured out, I looked up to him, my quiet admiration mingling with curiosity. I held back on my questions; I was uneducated in this way of life. This was the time I needed to be silent and observe the lessons he was teaching me.
