Chapter 59
- Through the large bodies lining the platform, she saw Trendan get to his feet. “It is due to the Alterealm royals that my brother,” He motioned to Bastian, who uncharacteristically sat there and just nodded without comment. “That we realized the deceit we have been living under.” He walked to the front of the platform. “One of their prophesized mates is the child of a man from Solrelm and a mother from Alterealm.” He paused, and the gasps and murmuring could be heard throughout the room. “Prince Quinton’s mate,” he motioned to Reagan, “Princess Reagan is of both realms.” Quinton moved to stand behind Trendan, and Reagan followed him. Trendan looked down at Killian. “Killian, I know you’ve retired as one of our longest-working watchers, but I imagine you can still see where someone is from.”
- Kilian sat straighter and nodded. “I can, my prince.” He stared right at Trendan, and Jeri held her breath again.
- “Princess Reagan has volunteered to have someone look and share with the others that what I say is true.” He stepped aside, and Reagan came forward. She lowered the hood over her head and stood there looking down at Killian.
