• When they got out of the vehicle, Trendan glanced at Bastian to see he was just as surprised as him. They weren’t at some secret hideout or heavily guarded domicile. They were on a farm. He turned and looked at the sheep in the fenced-in field. The ex-personal guard slash evil doer was a farmer? Something wasn’t right. The Alterealm Princes put their swords back on their backs. Vehicles weren’t designed for broad sword-wearing.
• Prince Victor looked around and then turned to his brother. At the same time, both pulled one of the long swords off their backs. “Things are never as they seem.” Victor offered as an explanation.
