- “Sarah!” Mrs. Kyle exclaimed when she saw Sarah waiting for her. “Oh, have you been waiting long? I’m sorry. Julian couldn’t drive me here, so his younger brother, brought me instead,” she continued, mentioning yet another name that was unfamiliar to Sarah.
- Sarah smiled as she welcomed the middle aged woman, who was wearing a peacock-patterned batik blouse that afternoon.
- “Not long at all.”
