Chapter 14 Suddenly Speechless

• Sarah quickly locked the bathroom door. She certainly didn't want Mia barging in whenever she pleased. She needed to settle the uneasiness in her heart on her own. She took out the pregnancy tests she had bought earlier, desperate to put an end to the anxiety that had suddenly taken hold of her that morning. Sarah glanced at herself in the mirror, gathering her courage once more. After opening the first test and reading the instructions, she immediately took it.
• "Has it been twenty minutes?" She murmured before leaning over the sink.
• Sarah stared at the first pregnancy test. Her heart sank the moment she saw two unmistakable red lines. Not wanting to jump to conclusions, she quickly checked the second and third tests. The results were the same. Even the last test showed the number eleven, meaning the new life growing inside her had already been there for eleven weeks.
