• Betty's mother almost collapses on the floor after Billy's grandfather left because of what he says, she did not know that she will hear something like that when she stays at home because she did not want the loan-shakers to harass her again in her chicken store but another person came to harass her in her own house.
• Though the money looks tempting, but she did not want to lose any more face and also her daughter's freedom is more important, she should do whatever she wants, they can endure this much for her, after all she is their only child now since they lost his brother.
• Betty's mother cried after Billy's grandfather came to threaten them with their daughter again in their own house, she felt that it is too much.
