Chapter 2

• Seeing that, Billy instantly asked the driver to stop, hoping to rush down. But he suddenly remembered that he is dressed like a CEO now and not just like an ordinary high school boy. So, he had to pause and observe what was going to happen first.
• Betty tried to ignore the two guys at first, but they kept following her and saying dirty words to her.
• "Hey, schoolgirl, you are so pretty. Can we sleep with you?" one of the guys said.
• All Betty could do now was keep quiet and speed up, but they were much stronger than her. She had to find another solution.
• Betty started moving backward and looking around as if she was searching for something, but the guys didn’t take it seriously. Then she happened to find a stick in a dark corner.
• Quickly taking the stick and using it to hit one of the guys, she ran away as fast as possible. The guy who got hit fell down, screaming in pain. The two guys were shocked because they never expected a small girl like her to burst out with such great power. The other guy wanted to run after her, but he could not leave his friend, so he helped him up and cursed at her.
• Observing the entire process before him, Billy smiled satisfyingly. He never thought that the quiet girl would fight back successfully before he reached out his hand.
• "Interesting." The smile on his face widened. He really wanted to know more about her.

• The next morning, as Billy was going to school in the car, he asked Ray to get all the information about the girl, Betty.
• When Billy got to school, he constantly stared at Betty with a malicious smile.
• "Finally, I’ll figure out your mystery, Lady Quiet," Billy said to himself.
• Noticing his gaze, Betty didn’t feel very well. Though this boy was handsome and attractive, she still didn’t want to get too much attention. So, she tried to keep silent and ignore him.
• After seeing that, Billy smiled.
• "Well, let’s see who will finally win in this game."
• When Billy arrived at his office that evening, Betty's information was already on his table. He read it carefully.
• Betty was the firstborn of her parents, and she had a younger brother named Ben, who was diagnosed with heart disease. Her family had just moved to New York a year ago. Her father owned a small company in New-town before, but they went bankrupt suddenly. Her father now worked as a laborer for a building company, and her mother owned a small fried chicken shop. That obviously could not afford her brother's medical expenses.
• Billy looked at Betty's information and sighed.
• "I must get closer to her," Billy said with concern. He started to worry about her, but he didn’t even know why he had such a feeling. It wasn’t what he would like to see.
• "It’s fun to break a tough girl, isn’t it?" he smiled and convinced himself.
• "Young master, you will be having dinner with the CEO of GB tonight," Ray suddenly interrupted Billy's thoughts.
• "I know. And do you have what I asked you to get for me?" Billy said, staring at Ray.
• "Yes, young master," Ray replied.
• Billy smirked, and his eyes shined with disgust.
• "Let’s meet the old man tonight." Billy's face turned serious.
• Because of work, Billy could not go to school for the rest of that week. The moment he came back to school and saw Betty standing beside the window while looking outside, Billy felt as if it had been up to a month, he last saw her. He quickly moved to her and stopped one step away from her, trying to share the scene she was staring at her.
• Betty did not know when Billy came beside her. When she noticed him, she tried to ignore it again.
• Seeing she was going to hide away again, he sighed. Moving closer to her, he whispered,
• "Did you miss me?"
• Betty felt a chill run down her spine.
• "How could he be so rude to ask me such a question?" She looked back with anger immediately, but her heart skipped as she saw his charming smile.
• "Did you miss me?" His whisper kept echoing in her mind, just like a curse.
• Finally, she chose to stay quiet and continue to focus on the outside scene.
• Another reaction out of Billy’s expectation! He drew his face closer to hers again and finally admitted,
• "I miss you."
• Trying to piss her off so she would say something to him, even if it was an insult, Billy would feel satisfied. He waited, knowing that no girl would be able to resist his charm.
• Hearing his words and smelling the sweet scent from his body, Betty quickly stepped back. She stared at Billy angrily and went back to her seat, leaving no words for him.
• Again!
• Billy was surprised.
• "What a tough girl!" Billy sighed.
• "But, it’s boring to get something easily, right?"
• "Hello, everyone. This semester, you’re going to work together with your group partners to finish the project. Next, I'll announce the group arrangements."
• The teacher started calling the students’ names for each group.
• "... Dalton Billy and Betty Hood, Group 5."
• Hearing that they were in the same group, Billy smiled.
• After the teacher left, Billy drew close to Betty and greeted,
• "Hey, partner!"
• Betty did not reply to him. She just went out. Billy kept looking at her with a smirk until she disappeared through the door.
• And all of that fell into some girls’ eyes. They felt jealous. Each time they tried to get closer to Billy, he did not show any interest in them. How could Betty get his attention so easily?
• Three of the girls followed Betty out. They thought they had to teach her a lesson.
• When Betty came back from the bathroom, one of the girls put her leg in the way. Betty tripped over.
• "Are you blind?" the girl who put her leg in the way said, as if it was Betty who intentionally stepped on her foot.
• Betty knew that was not her fault. She tried to stand up and just ignore them. But another girl pushed her down again, which caused one of her hands to get bruised.
• Knowing it was a trick they planned for her, Betty finally decided to fight back. She pushed the girl who had pushed her down before. When the last girl was about to slap her, a voice stopped them.
• "What are you girls doing?"
• It was Billy.
• Everyone looked up and saw Billy coming towards them angrily. The girls were shocked and quickly ran back to the class.
• Seeing Betty still on the floor with a bruised hand, Billy stretched out his hand, trying to help her stand up. However, Betty stared at him with anger.
• "I do not need your help," she roared at Billy and stood up on her own.
• Billy was shocked by Betty’s reaction and could not even notice she had already left. No one had ever shouted at him like that, not even his grandfather!
• "Did she just transfer her aggression onto me?" Billy asked himself.
• “Okay, girl, you’d better keep that toughness, otherwise, I’ll make you pay for it.”
