Chapter 2 Welcome Our King From Cracsa

  • "Vulture Squad, supreme commander, Milo Tyndall, reporting!"
  • After announcing his presence, Milo bowed deeply to Damon.
  • Chad and Horace were thunderstruck.
  • Firstly, because of Milo's identity, the Vulture Squad was one of Cruice's most formidable special units.
  • The squad was revered for their unmatched prowess.
  • Milo's status and rank as supreme commander of the Vulture Squad were so high. His stature left Chad and Horace in despair.
  • It was an accomplishment they could never hope to achieve, and to top it off, he seemed to be in his mid-twenties.
  • Milo's future prospects were limitless.
  • It was almost certain that he would become a legendary general.
  • But what shocked them even more was that such a promising star was bowed and saluted to the Ansons' useless son-in-law.
  • This was beyond comprehension!
  • What was even more unbelievable was that the so-called useless son-in-law accepted the salute calmly.
  • Could they really know each other?
  • Chad felt a wave of dizziness as he thought about this.
  • Just a moment ago, he had been mocking Damon. What was he supposed to do now?
  • However, Damon's remarks quickly pulled him out of his state of shock.
  • Damon said, "You've got the wrong person."
  • He smiled slightly and shook the delivery box on his back. Damon said, "I'm just a delivery guy."
  • Now, it was Milo's turn to be confused.
  • He gave it some thought and understood.
  • He had just revealed his own identity in public, which was against protocol.
  • A cold sweat broke out on his back as he swallowed hard. Milo said, "Sorry, I've mistaken you for someone else!"
  • Chad exhaled deeply in relief upon hearing this. He muttered, "I knew it! He's just a lowly delivery guy. How could he possibly know such an important figure? He had mistaken him for someone else. Thank goodness!"
  • Damon said, "If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way. I have more deliveries to make."
  • With that, he quickly got on his electric bike and left the hotel.
  • But Milo, knowing who he was, had silently memorised the bike's license plate number.
  • I have found him!
  • Finally, I have found him!
  • The pillar of Cruice is still alive!
  • ...
  • "Mr ... Mr. Tyndall, that tr*sh isn't worth your anger. If you have time, how about I treat you to the best club in Cracsa?"
  • Before Chad could finish, Milo slapped him hard.
  • Smack!
  • Chad's teeth shattered and a mouthful of blood spurted out as the loud slap echoed.
  • "M ... Mr. Tyndall ... "
  • Chad was completely dazed, not knowing what to do.
  • "You talk too much!"
  • Milo snorted coldly, then turned to Horace. "You can stop looking for that man."
  • "Huh? Why?"
  • Horace was puzzled. He knew, better than anyone, how much effort Milo had put into finding that person.
  • "Don't ask questions you shouldn't ask."
  • Milo's cold snort left no room for argument. He ignored him and walked into the hotel.
  • Inside the presidential suite he had reserved, his chaotic mind was still unsettled.
  • After a while, he took out his phone and dialled a number labelled 003. Taking a deep breath, he said excitedly, "Drago! He's alive. I found him."
  • "What? You found him? Where is he? Tell me, where is he?"
  • An old but incredibly anxious and excited voice came from the other end of the line.
  • "In Cracsa! He's in Cracsa! Our king is in Cracsa!"
  • Milo's voice was filled with an overwhelming sense of excitement.
  • "Good! Very good.
  • "Notify everyone in the Vulture Squad to prepare for departure to Cracsa to welcome our king!
  • "Also, report this wonderful news to the Central Tower!
  • "No, this won't do! I'll go personally. Make sure to watch him closely. If you lose him again, you'll be the sinner of the country!"
  • Hearing this, Milo couldn't help but shiver.
  • As soon as the call ended, a dozen Vulture fighter jets took off from the capital's airport, speeding towards Cracsa.
  • Each person's expression was tense and excited.
  • Because the hero of Cruice had returned!
  • ...
  • After a day's work, Damon returned home. His phone suddenly rang.
  • He pulled it out and found a reminder. 'The three-year period is over!'
  • "Phew! It's finally over!"
  • Damon put away his phone, feeling a huge weight lift off his shoulders.
  • His aura suddenly became sharp, like a divine sword that could cut through the world.
  • Or an invincible deity awakening from his long slumber.
  • The three-year period was over. He no longer had to hide his identity or endure those hurtful words.
  • He could finally reveal everything to his wife.
  • Damon was sure she would be delighted to know the truth.
  • Thinking about this, he didn't even bother to take off his uniform and immediately called Anya, who hadn't come home yet.
  • Damon said, "Hello, Anya, where are you? I have something to tell you."
  • Anya replied, "What could you possibly have to say? Stop causing me trouble. I'm working late at the office!"
  • "Office? But why is it so noisy on your end?"
  • Damon's keen hearing immediately detected that Anya's surroundings were not an office.
  • The faint sounds of music in the background hinted that she was in some kind of entertainment venue.
  • "You worthless man! How dare you meddle in my business!"
  • Anya's rebuked irritatedly. Her tone was cold and impatient.
  • "I'm your husband," Damon said patiently. "It's my duty to ensure your safety."
  • "Ensure my safety? With what? Your 4,000-dollar-a-month salary? Or your shabby electric bike?"
  • Damon asked, "Where are you? I'll come to get you."
  • Anya chided, "Why can't you just leave me alone? I'm at a club with clients, okay? Satisfied now?"
  • With that, Anya hung up.
  • Beep ... beep ...
  • Listening to the dial tone, Damon's brow furrowed.
  • Clutching his phone, veins bulged in his hand as he nearly crushed it.
  • After a moment's hesitation, he dialled an encrypted number.
