Chapter 373 Going Home
- Evergreen Street, guarded to the teeth, is where top clans keep their ancestral homes. On this quiet, long street, outside a courtyard that’s clearly seen some years, Damon King parked and sat for a beat, expression mixed. This was the King family’s compound. Once, it had been booming, guests lined up to get in. These last few years, though, things felt a little too quiet. Compared to the other estates on the same street, this place seemed downright deserted.
- He got out and walked to the gate. Two guards stepped up, asking him to show ID. This place wasn’t like your usual neighborhood—if your face wasn’t known, you weren’t getting in. Damon chuckled and shook his head. “I’m Deimos King. I’m coming home.”
- The two guards froze, still unsure. They asked him to wait and reported to the house steward. Damon felt a bit helpless. Needing a heads-up to enter your own home? That was weird. Then again, the Kings weren’t an ordinary family. They were top-tier. Stuff like this was par for the course.
