• “What’s the Green Bamboo Gang? Some kind of underground crew?” Finnian asked, puzzled.
• “Yes.” Stanley nodded. “Newcove has two big gangs, the Green Bamboo Gang and the Sirius Society. Their HQs are downtown. Besides those, there are three districts—south, the Northern District, and west—but our three districts sit on the outskirts. The guys mixing it up out here are nobodies like me—low-level gangsters who don’t make the cut. The Green Bamboo Gang and the Sirius Society are the real underground forces. Power-wise, the gap between our three districts and those two gangs is massive—worlds apart.”
