• “Finnian, I've pretty much sorted everything out. You can go back to work now,” Raina said as if shooing away a fly. She seemed eager to get rid of Finnian.
• “I've taken the whole day off, so there's no need to go to work in the afternoon,” Finnian said as he stretched lazily. He plopped down onto the living room couch and picked up an apple from the fruit plate on the coffee table, taking a comfortable bite.
• “You can't stay even if you've applied for leave. I'm commanding you to get back to work immediately.” Raina snatched the apple from Finnian's hand, speaking with a tone of disgust.
