Chapter 517 Boyfriend

  • With Fei Shan and his son arrested, the business scene in the Northern District hit another snag. The Fei Group’s stock, which had just started to bounce back from rock bottom, slid into a slump again. A lot of retail investors rushed to dump their shares to cut losses. Matthew seized the chance and bought up another wave, scooping the remaining six percent or so of scattered shares and locking down control.
  • On the other hand, the Fei family juniors still held thirty percent. Finnian had Sherry persuade them to sell. First, Sherry was the Fei family’s daughter-in-law, so if she stepped up, the juniors wouldn’t push back as hard. Second, Fei Shan had already thrown in the towel and handed over his shares; the rest hanging on served no purpose. Third, Finnian already controlled seventy percent—enough for absolute control. Going up against him would be suicide: either get suppressed and sidelined, or see their shares diluted and stripped. Selling was the smarter play.
  • In the end, after talks, Matthew bought out the Fei juniors’ shares at half the current market price.
