- Mylle found Angelica and me returning from a ride two weeks after the banquet. We had stabled our mounts, and were looking forward to a bath. It was a council day, and my afternoon was well planned by Sir Balen.
- "I found Princess Meredith crying by the privy," Mylle informed us, "she is with Alia now who is trying to console her."
- "Has someone hurt her?" Angelica asked, alarmed.
